DateThis.app is free service that detects the Electrical Network Frequency (ENF) from audio signals, and then compare it to known historical references.
Match scores are provided without any warranty of accuracy. Any non-amateur use of the application should be reviewed by a qualified person.

Uploaded audio signals are stored in their downsampled (up to 1000 Hz) format. Video data is fully discarded.
E-mail addresses collected during the processing of an audio signal are discarded automatically once no longer required.
DateThis.app is hosted in Belgium.
Signal processing algorithms are publicly published through the libhum open-source library.
DateThis.app only possesses a restricted history of the power grid frequencies.
The following table presents the available frequency data that can be matched against for some electrical power grids.
